About CSI Tamil Parish, UAQ
Umm Al Quwain is the least populous of the seven sovereign emirates in the United Arab Emirates, located north of the country.
There was a need for a place of worship for the C.S.I Tamil Christian community residing in and around UAQ. The searchwas on to find a suitable place, once the place was found, it was immediately secured in the month of Jan ’14 and made accessible for the CSI Christians living near and around UAQ to carry out the prayers. The first worship service wasconducted on 2nd May 2014 by Evangelist Suresh V.C. with CSI Liturgy. He continued conducting services until our Past or took charge of the church.
To ensure the growth, a full-time residing Pastor is available in UAQ. It was almighty’s plan to have Rev. Dr. S. Manickam, M.A., B.D., MTh., D.D., Senior Presbyter from Thoothukudi, Nazareth Diocese, to care for this church. He took charge of the Church from 4th July 2014. The Church is growing well under his able guidance and prayer. He was later joined by his wife, Mrs. Clara Manickam, in November 2014 to support him and thechurch women’s fellowship.
Our Moderator The Most Rev.Dr.G.Dyvasirvadam M.A.B.D.MTh.Phd, Bishop of all overseas CSI Churches, is our Bishop.
Our Moderator will appoint Pastors on a rotational basis from all dioceses in Tamil Nadu. People from all CSI Diocese attend our church.
Our Moderator, The Most Rev. Dr.G.Dyvasirvandam M.A.B.D Mth Ph.D., visited our church on 12th December 2015, and our Church was duly recognised by the Church of South India. On 5th April 2016, Rev.Jebavsagan B.Sc B.D.Mth from Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocese was appointed to our church by our Beloved Mod erator, and he started working with our church on 13th June 2016.
Every month, our church publishes a magazine called DEVA EKKAL AM, where you can find articles on various topics that enhance the growth of our Christian life. The monthly magazine will be uploaded. Membership for the church is open to every CSI Member from all CSI Diocese in Tamil Nadu. CSI Presbyters will be given preference to give sermons in thechurch.

The Cross continues to be the sign of hope for the witnessing Church, which strives towards Unity, Peace, and Reconciliation as a vibrant
